To automatically move mail to a folder, you need to create a filter. You can either do this from the Settings menu, or from your Inbox.
If you'd like to go through the Settings menu, please follow these instructions.
If you'd like to create a filter based on an email in your Inbox, continue reading this article.
First of all, you'll need to log in to your webmail, and be at the Inbox screen.
Select the email that you wish to mark as spam, by clicking the little box next to the name of the sender:
Now click on the three dots (More) and a drop-down menu will appear. Click on the Create Filter option:
A new pop-up window will appear, giving you criteria to base your new filter on. Generally here, you'll want to choose just the From field. Click Next Step.
The final screen of the new filter creation will appear now.
Under For incoming mail, choose:
- matching all of the following rules
- From the sender
Under
execute the following actions, choose:
Click on Save, and you're done. You will need to manually move the existing email to your Junk folder, and all future emails from that sender will be automatically moved to the Junk folder.
