These step-by-step instructions will assist you in setting up and connecting your Netcomm NF18 modem to your Fibre or ADSL/VDSL broadband connection.

We've made it super easy to set up. Just follow the numbered steps below and you'll be good to go. 

• Fibre Modem Setup
  1. Check that your Modem and ONT (The fibre box, usually on the wall) Have a power cable connected and have the power on (the power light will be green).
  2. Connect an Ethernet cable (RJ45) from the Blue WAN port on the modem into the port labelled GE1/LAN1 on your ONT.
     
  3. For any devices you want hardwired, you can connect them with an ethernet cable (RJ45) to any of the Yellow LAN ports.

  You should be up and running in a few minutes. Boom!

   

  Home line setup

  To connect your Home phone you need to connect the Telephone cable (RJ-11 to RJ-11) From your handset into the TEL 1 port on the back of the modem.

   

• ADSL/VDSL setup
  1. Check that your Modem has a power cable connected and has the power on at the wall (the power light will be green).
  2. Connect the grey DSL cable (RJ11- RJ11) and connect it from the DSL port on the back of the modem and connect it to the DSL port on the filter
  3. Connect the Filter to the jack point.
  4. If you have a Homeline then you can connect your phone cable (RJ11 - BT) from your handset into the Phone port on the DSL filter.

  

Wifi Setup

You will find your Wi-Fi network name and password on the bottom of your Netcomm NF18 modem. Check out setting up wireless on NF18 to change your Wi-Fi name and password.
