Follow these steps to change your Wi-Fi network name and password on your 4G Wireless Broadband router (Huawei B535-232).
Before you start, make sure you have a device connected to the router via Wi-Fi or with an Ethernet cable plugged into the router.
- Open a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
- In the address bar, type 192.168.8.1 and press enter.
- Enter your modem password (by default it's admin) when prompted and click Log in. If this is the first time you’ve accessed your router or if you’ve reset the device, you’ll be prompted to set up your Wi-Fi details, otherwise proceed to step 4. If you're unable to log in, you may need to factory reset your router.
- Click the Wi-Fi Basic Settings tab.
- Turn the 5 GHz preferred option on, enter your desired Wi-Fi network name and password, and click Save.
All done! Give your router a few minutes to process the changes. You'll need to reconnect your devices if you've made any changes.
